Running Double

I was introduced to Sarah and Tim through mutual friend Caitlin Canty, and I had the privilege of designing their invites for their late summer Vermont wedding. Tim and Sarah met in college on the cross-country ski team. Their wedding is set to be a big beautiful later summer family-affair at Sarah’s family horse farm.

Tim and Sarah wanted low-key invites which match the tone of the day. The colors reflect their late summer palette. The colors are also wonderfully evocative of the couple’s New England roots: Vermont and Maine. The parallel lines are an allusion to their cross-country days and a nice metaphor for traveling together in to the future. We created a suite with a bellyband, direction & details card and RSVP postcard. The bellyband wraps around the cards collecting the pieces together. The invites still read with the bellyband in place “Together with their families … Invite you to join …”

That Brian Eno album that’s going to be released on Warp Records? Details were revealed of the beautiful limited edition packaging today, which includes heavy weight vinyl, 2CD pressing, digital downloads, and a lithograph print. Want.

Also a surprise, this album is a collaboration with Jon Hopkins and Leo Abrahams. Hopkins collaborated on Coldplay’s Viva La Vida, composing the beautiful intro and outro to that album, pulled from his song “Light Through The Veins”, streaming below. I’m a big fan, and heard that Eno was too – can’t wait to hear what they’ve cooked up.
